Hi Kathy. I went ahead and did it. As I thought, there was a pop-up
window to finish the operation. There was a check box to tap and then
with my mouse I found a actionable complete button. Plus, I did
receive an email!
The action kinda puts the subscription in remission. No 14 day free
trial when I re-up. Here is what the email says:
Hello from Amazon.com,
We're writing you to confirm that your subscription to the Kindle
Edition of The Columbus Dispatch has been canceled at your request. If
you canceled during your free trial period, you will not be charged
for your subscription. If you are past your free trial period, you
will stop receiving new issues immediately and a refund for the
remaining balance of your subscription will be issued if applicable.
You can reactivate your subscription at anytime by visiting Manage
Your Kindle Newsstand Subscriptions at
http://www.amazon.com/manageyourkindlesubscriptions
