Hi Joe. I may be all wet, but, If this can be done, I would think it
would require alot of quick finger movement no matter what kind of
keyboard you use.
It would mean two open windows, or, the book running in continuous
with something open so you could write text. Of course, there is the
app switcher tab on the Fire, but, that doesn't give you a switch as
quickly as with a PC, nor is it a multiple tab open solution.
But, to test, and, to see if this would work; in other words the
second app wouldn't interfere with the book playing back, you could
open the email app and start writing a message as the book is running.
However, here is another option. In fact, I use this for quoting and
selecting hyperlinks offered in a book as well.
Read the book through once, taking notes with a audio recorder; I have
an old Sony hand-held-micro-tape-recorder that works fine. I try to
use an exact phrase within that recording comment.
When done, I fire up my PC and download the kindle book into Kindle
for PC, then use CODEX to convert the book to text.
I can then search the book (now in text) for that phrase. I like to
quote great content that an author has written in a book.
Or, take a complete thought and create a summary.
You can also convert to Word with CODEX but I don't use, so I don't
convert to that format.
Note: Every Kindle book that I own, I have converted. I usually do
this right after I get it.
