Well, the answer to your question is not clear cut. It much depends on how you
will be using your kindle. If you decide to use social media accounts
(Facebook, twitter, linkedin and co) on your kindle, then that will drain your
battery life for sure.
Alternatively, if you decide to use your fire kindle for enjoying reading
books, magazines, papers etc., then I believe your battery could run easily for
10 hours uninterrupted.
My fire kindle 7 (not HD) can run around 10 hours on its battery life and
charges quickly.

Subject: [vi-kindle] Braille Me and the Fire
Okay. I haven’t bought a Fire yet, but it’s on my wish list. Two questions:
1. If one buys the so-called kid model, besides being possibly more ruggid,
does it have the same functionality?
2. My main question here: I’m also considering the Braille Me braille display.
Does it work with the Amazon Fire tablets
I don’t want to pay for visual real estate I don’t need. lol. Unfortunately, to
me it looks like things like better battery life seem to get bundled into the
newer, larger models with bigger screens. What are people’s thoughts?
