Thanks so much for your prompt response, Matthew. The reason I asked this
question is that, although I have used Apple devices and have no problem with
that OS’s gestures, I can’t report similar success on my Kindle Fire.
Nevertheless, I am very happy that I own the Fire, because I am confident that
thee issues will be resolved. It just seems that there isn’t as much extensive
documentation out there. I could very well be wrong, however. Please see my
question below your first point. below. And buy the way, thanks so much for
responding!
Mike
1. I use my bluetooth keyboard (Anchor) in conjunction with gesturesWilliam, what do you mean when you say "coming up with gesture keyboard
on the fire. I find that easier than coming up with gesture keyboard
commands. In other words, I primarily use the keyboard for writing to
the Fire tablet whether that be emails, writing to Facebook and
Twitter, entering passwords, doing searches and entering website url's
and the like.
commands“? Can a user define his/her own set of VoiceView keyboard commands?
2. The keyboard doesn't play havoc with the voice-view screenreader or Alexa.
3. As for your Apple keyboard, just try it. It may even have a swith
to move from ios, android/linux and windows mapping of the keyboard.
4. Lastly, you can always in a pinch use a regular full-size windows
usb keyboard with dongle to connect to and write to the Fire tablet as
well.
Stay well ... William

Hello everyone,
I have a Kindle Fire (8.Gen) and I am wondering if it is possible to use a
Bluetooth keyboard and issue VoiceView commands. I have an Apple keyboard
that I use with iDevices; can I use the same keyboard with my Kindle Fire?
If it is possible to use a keyboard in conjunction with VoiceView, which one
works best?
Have a great weekend, everyone,
