I know this is an old issue, but Bufo Calvin's I Love my Kindle blog has
an excellent open letter to authors whose publishers have chosen to
block the text to speech capabilities on Kindle devices. As a Star Trek
fan, I'm in total agreement as to his assessment of the irony of
blocking Star Trek books which take place in a future where barriers to
disabilities have been eliminated.
