Hi Terri,
That small file that you have downloaded need to be associated with Audible Download Manager on your computer, once you have done this then it'll automatically open the program and download your books, you should only have to do this the first time and it'll remember.

Subject: [vi-kindle] Audible and downloading books to my laptop

Hello everyone,

I got help once before from a few very nice people.

However, I have ran in to a problem, and I can't seem to figure it out.

Today I got a few more books from Audible. They are in my library,
through the website. They also show up on my Fire tablet.

I want to download them on to my laptop. But every time I try to do
this, from the Audible website, it just does this very quick little
download of some strange file. I think it is some sort of help file.

Anyway, what might I be doing wrong?

They won't show up in the Audible manager either.

Can I somehow download them from my tablet to my laptop? Or am I just
possibly missing something here?

I am using windows 7, Jaws 17, and Chrome. I do have access to the
latest version of NVDA, and a version of Firefox.

Thank you,

Terri
