Hi Hans. There should be both a power switch and a pair button on your
keyboard. probably right next to each other.
1. Turn on your Fire and go to wireless in settings and then tap on bluetooth.
2. Turn on your keyboard and then push the pair button.
3. Go back to your Fire and swipe down then tap on pair a device.
4. Your keyboard should show up in the listing. You might have to tap
on the keyboard listing to complete the pairing. You might even have
to add a key in a text box that opens for the keyboard bluetooth
setting.
But, the basic thing is that you have to turn the power switch and
press the pair button on your keyboard in order for your Fire to
recognize the keyboard.
And, you might only have to pair once. Next time when you turn on the
keyboard, it might automatically pair to your Fire. Unless, you use
the keyboard with another device, which means you will have to pair
again.

Today I bought me a basic Bluetooth keyboard, An Anchor Ultra Slim keyboard
for just under $20. It uses 2 tripple A batteries which I also got, and put
into the keyboard. After taking it out of the box here at home, I treid to
pair it with my Firs Tablet without success. It didn’t even show up at all
when trying to search for Bluetooth devices. The keyboard was switched to
the On position and even tried switching the bateries around, but all
without success. I’m visually impaired and therefore can not read the
instrutions that came in the booklet with the keyboard so, I am not sure if
I am not doing something right. Any ideas on what could be the problem? I
also tried pairing this keyboard with my iPhone 5c without any success
either. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
