Will it let you log into your Tunein account or is that only possible in iOS
and Windows?

Hi Michael. Totally agree! Yes. That is a superb app. Completely accessible.
There aren't many this good. Excepting perhaps for the Fire tablet default
apps and the Bard Mobile app.
I use NPR News every day. Love the audio podcasts of Morning Edition.
But, much more!
I also use in the news department, PBS News Hour and NBC News, but, you have
to fudge around to get familiar with them. However, they do work well!

The Kindle Fire is new to me, but I am having lots of fun slowly

An app that I use all the time on my iPhone is called NPR One, which
allows people to listen to NPR content and podcasts nonstop. Since

available, and it seems to work very well. I haven’t tried out all of
its features on my Kindle Fire yet, but my initial conclusion is that
