Ok, thinking cap time. Sheila, put on your wish cap.. For a perfect dog here
is your
Training question.
What are things Gretchen can learn that might help sheila and make working
less stressful?

Dream big.. anything is allowed. Here were some I thought of..

Having gretchen unafraid of a cane in case sheila needs to use it for safety
reasons.

Having gretchen more comfortable of doors opening and shutting

Having gretchen not mind her tails or paws getting squished in said doors.

Having gretchen more comfortable with working in wind

Having gretchen more comfortable working in heat.

Having gretchen be able to relax more when out working.

Having her quickly and enthusiastically crossing streets without bowing.

what else?

Can you explain what you mean on her crossings and the paralell traffic.. I
am having trouble visualizing this from the description.. how arre the
corners made? what kind of curbs? How would you prefer she do these?

Does she play with toys? Do you go to dog parks or on playdates with other
dogs? Does she like petting? wrestling? Balls? Chew toys? What is her favorite
active activity? what is her favorite quiet activity? Does she seem to like
solving a puzzle, like getting all proud of herself when she learns something?
or does she seem to just sigh with relief that she got it done right? Does
she pick up her pace on a straight sidewalk when you praise her? or wag her
tail ?

The more you tell me the better pictures I have..and the more ideas you
give me..
