Ann your ears must have been burning. Miniature Guide horses topic just is
being discussed on the oregon guide list. Of course you and Panda are a big
part of the topic. It was brought up in relation to Trimet's (our transit
company) new policy they plan to undertake in relation to non-dog service
animals in conjunction with the change in the ADA.
Its hard to believe Panda is 10. For a guide team you'd be in retirement or
contemplation of it now, had she been a dog. I imagine it feels great to
know you have many years ahead as a team.
I wonder at this juncture if you have had any issues brought to light in
relation to the changes in the ADA or is it too early to tell if there could
be repercussions despite the footnote that was included in relation to guide
horses. I'm hopeful that it will remain business as usual for the two of
you.
