Of course if all else fails then you can use that Google Assistant to help you
out with an “Okay Google” or by double-tapping the microphone near the top
right of the home screen.

Actually the reason I stopped using it was simply that for Australia, it
wasn't the most accurate. The Australian bureau of meteorology have their own
app which I use now but that only works in Australia.
What I was going to say is if what you want particularly is a good widget,
try a few apps and see what you like just for the widget. I've found
sometimes am so itself may be inaccessible, but the widget itself may be
fine. If you still want an so you can open, you may have to sacrifice a bit
of space for the icon of an accessible app and the widget you like better if
that so isn't accessible. At least I haven't found as many inaccessible
widgets (but they're out there).
