   theme, and tempo indications change with each 4-measure variation.
   Registrations increase from the barely discernible to full organ,
   the first 11 combinations being reversed at the end of the first
   half to give a crescendo pedal effect. Another set of variations
   follows, which includes a few modified from the first half. This
