As I pointed out in my explanation, the latest small update for the VU software
makes the Bluetooth connection of the VU with the IOS 11 more stable and allows
creating a new paring, but the side effect of this new update is that the wake
up p feature and the HID key simulation are not working with this update any
more. The reason for this change is that apple made changes to there Bluetooth
connectivity options in a way which is not allow VarioUltra regester itself
both as a braille display and as the HID keyboard. So we had to disable all
this HID stuff inorder to enable stable and reliable Bluetooth connection.

Hello all:
Since I updated my VarioUltra with last version of the operating system, I
think it’s version 1.42.1, I can’t wake my iPhone 6S up with iOS 11.2.1. With
the previous version of VarioUltra software I think I could do it, but now I
can’t. I deleted the link from both devices and I linked them again starting
the link from my iPhone, but it doesn’t work at all.
Any suggestions?
