Hello all,
I have done some experimenting this weekend. My Bluetooth connectivity varies.
There are times when a connection is maintained even if my phone is on a
different floor than the VU. There are other times when I don't get nearly as
strong of a connection. I don't know what variabilities are there that would
cause this. I am using an iPhone 7 running the latest software and the latest
beta of the VU firmware.

Hi all.
I have found that a lot of factors can influence the range of a bluetooth
connection. This is not limited to the VU, but generally true of most BT
devices. If you have a lot of other BT devices active that are in range, a
strong wifi signal, or even physical obstacles such as walls can limit the
range of a bluetooth connection. Specific to the iPhone, I have noticed the
newer models than the 5 tend to have more stable connections. I would say
that 17 M/50 feet would only likely happen under ideal conditions, but that
10 m/ 33 feet would be more normal. I agree that 10 ft/3m could happen under
any of the conditions I discussed before.. However, if you do not have a lot
of other BT devices around you, that's not very far at all.
Just my opinion,
Scott

Hello,
I’m working at the BAUM (USA) office, and have a VarioUltra 20 connected
with an iPhone 6 and a MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Early 2015). My phone
and computer are running on the latest iOS and OS versions.
With my VarioUltra 20, I can walk approximately 50 feet away and still
maintain connections over Bluetooth. I stopped walking further than that as
I was outside our front door at 50 feet away. Performance appears the same
whether I’m actively connected to my phone or the computer.
I can’t imagine what might cause a VarioUltra to break the Bluetooth
connection within 10 feet, or 4 or 5 meters. It certainly doesn’t sound like
normal performance to me. If the problem persists, please reach out to
support@xxxxxxxxxxx. It might be that we have you send your device in for
service so that we can test the Bluetooth technology for you.

Hi
I am glad someone else has mentioned this. I find bluetooth range between
my v u 20 and idevices to be VERY short. Like maybe 10 feet! I asked my
trainer bout this the other and he said the usual 33 feet but sadly that Is
not happening in this case. I live in a trailer It's about 10 feet from my
bedroom to my living room and if I walk out here to do something with my vu
20 and my bluetooth device such as my iphone or whatever in the bedroom I
lose the connection. Now this is a straight shot. Nothing in between it and
them. No obstruction of any kind. Wonder what others results would be?

Hello,
I wonder what is the range in which stable bluetooth connections from VU40
to a computer can be expected.
I have trouble connecting when I am some four to five meters away from my
machine.
Aare there known issues when connecting VU40 to a Mac computer?
I have dropped connections which tend to auto reconnect when I am closer to
the computer.
The computer is a Mac Mini late 2012 running 10.11.6.
Best regards
