Hi everyone, 

The company in Germany contacted me again just now, only confirming that
the name of the new company is L + S Jena GmbH. They say they will
contact me again next week to provide additional information.
They also said that they expect to resume production of VarioUltra the
first week in July.


More news as I get it...

I recently learned that the assets of BAUM Retec in Germany had been sold
to another company in Germany. These assets include products like
VarioUltra. I do not know the name of the new company yet. A person
identifying themselves as being in charge of production for braille
products, contacted me yesterday via LinkedIn asking if I wish to know
more about the new company. I replied saying that of course I'm
interested, and asked what their plans are for ongoing support of
customers worldwide.
