Hello everyone,
Just a reminder, our November meeting is tomorrow. Derek Hutchinson and George
Mulder of Lex Engineering will be talking about using LiDAR combined with other
data to design electrical transmission lines.
This season we are again fortunate to be guests in the offices of the
Geological Survey of Canada at 605 Robson Street in Vancouver, in their 15th
floor boardroom. There is a link on the web site to Google Maps. Remember
that the talks will begin at 5:30. The lobby doors and the elevators are
locked at 6:00. Please try and be in before then. When you arrive on the
15th floor you will see a sign directing you to the boardroom in the SW corner
of the building.
GIS Day is on the 15th of November. Langara is putting on an event. I have
included an announcement below.
I have also included an announcement for Van Carto Day on the 1st of December.
Hope to see you tomorrow,
Doug Hrynyk
