The Ash-throated Flycatcher was still present at the floodwall in
Richmond this morning (1/9/06) at 9:45. It's a very obliging bird,
spending a lot of time in the open on the railroad track and in the
grassy area between the track and the floodwall while I watched for
about 20 minutes.
For those who haven't been before, the parking area can only be accessed
by driving north on Semmes Ave. Drive like you intend to cross the
Manchester bridge, and the small parking lot is on the LEFT just after
the north and southbound lanes split and before you enter the on-ramp
for the bridge. There are small brown signs for the parking lot.
