Banded six prothonotaries early this morning up in the swamp at the mouth of Swift Creek, just before it dumps into the Appomatix. 5 young who looked like adults and one adult male who was completing growth of his outer four primaries and several inner secondaries. Enjoyed a yellow-throated vireo singing between net runs. The remaining prothonotaries will likely be gone from our area in the next couple of weeks, so keep an eye out for those golden stragglers.
