Our suet nailed to the back oak tree is attracting woodpeckers in search of a
meal for their fledglings. The Downey’s are regular visitors. And today papa
Hairy WP was there getting food to give his youngster, waiting on the side of
the tree. Parents work hard to raise the next generation!!
The crow family is the loudest, and are the biggest eaters. We have 5 or six
at the feeder each morning, and in spite of John's double cage, they are
persistent, hungry, clever feeders on the suet, too. Ah, youth!!
