Just as I was about to leave the house this morning, there came a loud "thump"
on the big family room window. It turned out to be a Swainson's Thrush (I
believe - have a look and tell me what you think). It was on its back when I
first went out to investigate, but within a few minutes had righted itself. It
was woozy enough to put up with me snapping away at close range. Happily, just
as I was about to leave for work, it flew off to a less exposed spot in a
magnolia tree in the front yard.
