Hello Birders, Made a quick circuit around Bandy Field this morning, between 7:40 and 8:15. A few migrants were present including a male WILSON'S WARBLER. Also present were N. PAULA, MAGNOLIA, COMMON YELLOWTHROAT, 8 GRAY CATBIRD (6 in a fruiting Mulberry), VEERY, 2 ROSE-BREASTED GROSBEAKS, and about 15 CEDAR WAXWING. Yesterday afternoon (5/9) I birded at Back Bay with Andrew Baldelli. Pool C held a variety of shorebirds, Both GREATER and LESSER YELLOWLEGS, SHORT-BILLED DOWITCHER, LEAST and SEMI-PALMATED SANDPIPER, SEMI-PALMATED and BLACK-BELLIED PLOVER and WHITE-RUMPED SANDPIPER. Probably about 100+ birds present. These were harassed by a MERLIN and PEREGRINE. Otherwise not many other wading birds seen (only GREAT BLUE HERON, and GREAT EGRET).
