Richmond birders...

Be on the lookout for a large, white-winged gull in the area. This
afternoon, a possible Glaucous Gull was observed near the entrance to
Curles Neck Farm by John Fox. It flew before he had a chance to set up
his scope, and he did not go down into the farm chasing it. The gull
could easily show up in other parts of the James, including the rapids
near Brown's Island. Those of you participating in the James River count
on Saturday might want to check the gulls carefully.

Happy New Year!

Larry
