For those of you who bird at Midlothian Mines, the back trail to the mine site
is currently closed for construction. It is still possible to walk around the
lake, although birdwise it's pretty quiet at this time of year. The wintering
ducks and gulls have left, leaving the lake to families of Canada Geese and
Mallards.
