The wind today kept most birds hunkered down, with the exception of a large number of TREE, NORTHERN ROUGH-WINGED and BARN SWALLOWS. They were feeding very close to the surface of our lake, and fighting the north wind. The Roughwings and Barns were both year birds at this location, and I suspect they were arriving migrants. My husband said their flights were delayed! Wendy Ealding Powhatan County ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com.
