Hello Birders,
Today, between 5 and 5:30 pm I observed and adult male Surf Scoter from the
floodwall. It was closer to the north side than the south, but I managed to
get a record shot.

Other highlights were 11 Osprey, of which 1 carrying a large Shad, 4 Lesser
Black-backed Gull, 2 adult, I 3rd year/cycle, 1 2nd year/cycle.

Yesterday 4/16 I saw 53 Bonapate's Gull at Pony Pasture (off Half Moon
Beach).

This evening there were 7 Red-breasted Merganser on the River at the
Wetlands.

Also seen today in the James River Park System; Blue-headed Vireo (1),
Louisiana Waterthrush (2), Ovenbird (1), Palm Warbler (1).
