A reminder that the annual picnic is next Saturday, June 25th, at Buz and Nelda's in Varina. Come early for an 8:00AM first birding walk or anytime you can. Details are in the May/June Thrasher on line or in your paper Thrasher. The weather forecast is perfect (so far), the Thrush is singing, a Prothonatary has made a new nest and the woodpeckers are ALL talking and drilling. Watch for turkeys crossing the gravel road as you come in. Also check for hawks as you drive under the transmission lines. And watch for deer!
