You have probably been recieving a bunch of messages from groups that use your
email address with information about how the EU General Data Protection
Regulation (GDPR) affects their services. This is a heads-up that you will be
receiving a similar message from Freelists, the group that hosts our Listserv,
asking you to give your consent to their service using your email as they
always have. The main point here is that your original request to join the
Listserv isn’t sufficient under the GDPR for Freelists to be able to use your
email address as they traditionally have, so they will need your consent to
send emails to you. If they do not receive a response, your email will be
automatically deleted from this list. If that happens, you can always sign back
up. For more info about the GDPR, look here: https://www.eugdpr.org/
