I've been asked to pass along the following information about a public
meeting relating to the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel project:
"On behalf of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel (CBBT)/Joint Venture Project
Team, all interested parties are invited to a public/community outreach
meeting. Arrangements have been made for this meeting on Wednesday,
February 8, 2017, at the Residence Inn Norfolk Airport Hotel, Tarmac
Conference Room, located at 1590 N. Military Highway, Norfolk, VA 23502.
The meeting will be held between 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM. The purpose of this
meeting is to present updated information about the proposed Parallel
Thimble Shoal Tunnel Project, to include Project scope and need, type of
construction anticipated, studies involved, and to address questions and
comments from local anglers and birders.
This meeting is being held prior to formal regulatory approvals from the
U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Virginia Department of Environmental
Quality. Please post this letter locally and inform interested parties to
attend this outreach meeting.
We cordially invite everyone to attend and participate in this meeting.
Project team members will be present to discuss the Project and we welcome
your attendance. It is hoped that this public involvement opportunity of
interested parties will enhance the effectiveness of cooperative planning
as this Project moves forward in 2017."
