Hello All -
In lieu of a picnic this year, we are hosting a "Block Party!"
We have chosen a high priority “block” for the Virginia Breeding Bird
Atlas <http://ebird.org/content/atlasva/> that we will survey for a few
hours in the morning. We’ll meet at Harrison Lake National Fish Hatchery at
8 a.m. All skill levels are welcome. We’ll have a little bit of
information before we begin about the information we’ll be looking for
during the survey and how to record that information. We’ll reconvene to
compile the data, and then we’ll head over to Dockside Restaurant in
Hopewell for some lunch and fellowship. While this is ultimately aimed at
getting some good breeding bird data for the VBBA2 Survey, we’d also like
for this event to be a relaxed event aimed at fostering fellowship among
our membership. Please join us!
