I hiked the Forest Exploration Trial this morning. Most notable was a flock of 25 Robins feeding on poke berries in a disturbed area of trees downed by Hurricane Isabel - it's an ill wind that blows nobody any good! On the downside, I saw a Red-eyed Vireo feeding a young Cowbird. There was a Northern Watersnake in the creek. Location: Pocahontas State Park Observation date: 8/12/06 Notes: 1.
