From my office window at work I can see an Osprey sitting on an old nest
near Brown's Island on the James River.
I've been keeping an eye out for their return to the river for a couple of
weeks now. This is the first one I've noted this year. This is about when
the first bird has been arriving downtown the last few years. Two years
ago was the earliest returning bird in recent available records (Feb. 22nd,
2014).
