[va-richmond-general] Normal Behavior ?

Have noticed groups of male & female Cardinals around both feeders and
birdbaths. By this time of
year they have normally been busy setting-up their territories and are not
acting friendly toward each other!
Had as many as 6 pairs within 25 ft. of each other.
Is it lack of availability of natural food/insects ?
