Hi,
Took a quick pass through Dutch Gap in Chester this after about 4:30.Things
were pretty quiet with grey skies, speeding cars and a seemingly empty marsh.
On my way out down the main road I caught sight of a "different" brown bird
that seemed worth investigating. I pulled over and did a little "pisshing". Out
of everywhere-came everyone.
I felt Like Dr. Dolittle standing there as warblers and other birds came down
to eye level and didn't even get obscured by leaves and branches. At one time I
had 5 different warblers in my lens view. The only birds that didn't come down
but continued to sing were Indigo Bunting and Orchard Oriole. There was a very
flitty Blue-grey Gnatcatcher that perched very low but flew off quicker than my
shutter.
Here's a few images of a 15 minute burst of migration!
