Hello Birders
Inspired by the Yellow Throated Warbler reported from Henricus today, I
visited the Wetlands in the James River Park System. Fairly quiet but a
Lincoln's Sparrow was certainly the highlight. It was associating with a
small mixed group of White-throated, Song, and Swamp Sparrows that allowed
for comparison. It was in the South East corner of the trail system. If you
are entering from Landria Drive go right at the Meadow and where the trail
dog-legs to the left is where the sparrow group was. Other highlights were
22 Bufflehead on the river and a couple of Winter Wrens.
