Earlier this afternoon I put out some fresh sunflower seeds and it didn't take
long for a hand full of White Throated Sparrows to come in to feed. I looked
out just now and there is a Junco pecking around on the ground. So glad to
have both of them back. I'm tired of seeing nothing but House Sparrows which
come over from a neighbor's house. The neighbor let the sparrows take over
their 13 Purple Martin houses. Anytime I have out birdseed, they come an wipe
it out in no time flat. I have tried other seed but the sparrows seem to eat
it all... It truly is a never ending battle that I have no control over...
