[va-richmond-general] Ibis are gone

I viewed Crewes Channel this evening at 5:15. The higher water level must have
sent the Ibis to migrate somewhere else. The higher water level reduced the
number of Great Egrets too. There were 5 Yellow Legs present. There will NOT
then be an organized trip this Saturday to try and spot the Ibis. Anyone plan
to go to Shirley for shorebirds this weekend?

With the Ibis seen my several experienced birders over a few days it will be a
non-issue for the VSO to record it. Are any of the ornithologists like Dr. Bob
Reilly or Dr. Brian Watts planning to write anything about the Crewes Channel
and Buckingham County and a few other inland location Ibis that have been
sighted recently?

Sincerely,

Tyler Turpin
