Pintail Wood Duck Common Merganser Turkey Vulture Black Vulture Red -shouldered Hawk Cooper's Hawk Red-tailed Hawk Bald Eagle Osprey Kestrel American Coot Killdeer Common Snipe or is it Wilson's now? Ring-bill gull Black-backed Gull Rock Dove Mourning Dove Belted Kingfisher Red-bellied Woodpecker Northern Flicker Piliated Woodpecker Yellow-bellied Sapsucker American Crow Tree Swallow Tufted Titmouse Carolina Chickadee White-breasted Nuthatch Carolina Wren Eastern Bluebird Eastern Phoebe American Robin Hermit Thrush Northern Mockingbird European Starling Yellow-rumped Warbler Northern Cardinal Song Sparrow Red-winged Blackbird American Goldfinch After the walk, four of us went to the floodwall and got close looks at the Ash-throated Flycatcher. It hopped on the railroad track and just kept walking toward us. Then it flew even closer. At one point it was only 30 feet away and completely unconcerned by us.
