I heard a Thrush in Bryan Park today and immediately thought Hermit, but
then got a great look at a Swainsons. Both are possible! It was Penn's
earlier question on WTSP that got me out there. The songbirds,
neotropicals, were thick. What a rewarding morning, plus having breakfast
at the farmers market was an added treat!

What is the spring date this year or previous recent spring dates that you
have seen the last White-throated Sparrows in the Richmond Metro Area? If
your departure dates for the North are much earlier than May 20, I would
think this is another sign of global warming?
