A great turn out this morning as 12 of us explored Harrison Lake in search of spring migrants. The morning chill gave way to warm sunshine. 48 species were tallied. Here's a few highlights: Pied-billed Grebe Great Egret Wood Duck Osprey Red-shouldered Hawk Bald Eagle (3) Red-headed Woodpecker Yellow-bellied Sapsucker Belted Kingfisher Tree Swallow Northern Rough-winged Swallow Hermit Thrush Eastern Phoebe Pine Warbler Yellow-rumped Warbler Rufous-sided Towhee A wonderful, newly built bridge leads into the woods onto the nature trail. A great walk-thanks to all who turned out! Julie Kacmarcik Chester You are subscribed to VA-Richmond-General.
