October 14th---the latest day we've traditionally had a hummingbird: And this
morning the little female who got in the house a week ago was at her feeder,
then zoomed off to the tall salvia. She's been back for long drinks several
times---sure looks like she's preparing for a trip ahead of the cold weather.

Late post...but not too late-it's still Monday. After being away for a few
days and away from the yard activity was very happy to see a hummingbird
still feeding happily on the Mexican Sage in the garden.

White-throated sparrows keep sounding off and the spring peepers were
peeping...what season is this anyway?

Here's a few pix of little Colhummbus...preparing to set sail?
