[va-richmond-general] Gray Cheeked Thrush

Last night after the small storm that came through I heard a thrush-like song
but it didn't really fit the standards. Then I saw the bird which I assumed was
a Wood Thrush. It was making a chip note I didn't recognize but I didn't think
much of it as I don't know chips that well.

That was until this morning when he showed up in the tree outside of my office
window and I got a very good view of it (but not a good picture - I need to get
a camera). He did not have any rufous on him which would make you think of a
wood thrush. He did not bob his tail up and down either. When he left I pulled
out Peterson's and Grey Cheeked really fit. I also found the chirp and song I
heard last night that matched especially the chirp.

Has anyone else seen them coming through here?

Blessings,
