I visited Amelia WMA this gorgeous morning as part of the Rusty Blackbird blitz.? No Rusties, in fact no icterids of any kind, and no waterfowl either, which I found really surprising as this was likely one of the few bodies of water in the area?that remained at least partly open during the recent cold snap. It was, however, a good morning for sparrows, including White-crowned that I haven't found at this location before.
