Hello All, I saw the Glaucous Gull this evening (5:00-5:15) from Browns Island. As I approached the observation platform there were a number (150-200) of gulls circling. I picked out the bird in flight. It was very visible even without bins. Once on the observation platform I waited as the gulls settled and after a few minutes the Glaucous came in to land on the rocks below. I hadn't seen it in flight before, and was able to notice that it's a couple of it's outer primaries were missing. Although I haven't seen the Ash-Throated Flycatcher this week I know it was seen on Tuesday. Arun Bose, Richmond, VA You are subscribed to VA-Richmond-General.
