FYI, a Brown Booby being reported from the James River east of Richmond. No
good places to view that portion of the James that I’m aware of. Jones Neck is
the peninsula across the river from Deep Bottom Park but I’d guess they saw the
bird on the other side of the peninsula. It may be worth heading down towards
Hopewell and seeing if the bird flys downstream.
Or just wait for more details.

Hi all,
I am reporting for Mike Ostrander who is guiding a tour this morning on the
James River near Jones Neck and has photos of a brown booby they spotted on
the trip, he is texting them to me. I checked online and saw the last
sighting was 2006.
