FYI - if you like golf, head on over - last year’s tournament was voted best of
the year by the golfers. There’s a great atmosphere out at the CCV James River
course (and it’s not a bad area for birds, either).
If you just like birdies (the winged kind), check out this opportunity to
support the work of Richmond Audubon Society.

Hello all!
The Dominion Energy Charity Classic Golf Tournament is in full swing at the
County Club of Virginia. What does this have to do with birds, you ask?? It
could mean a lot!
Richmond Audubon Society is a participating charity in the "Birdies for
Charity" event associated with the golf tournament. For every Birdie (one
stroke under par for the hole) the players score over the course of the four
day event, we can earn donations! So for example, a person might donate 10
cents per birdie. If the golfers score 500 birdies (last year there were
584), that would be a $50 donation. And, we can get matching funds up to a
certain amount! You can also make a flat donation, which is also eligible
for matching funds.
Follow this link and be sure to select "Richmond Audubon Society" from the
drop-down menu:

Please share this email widely and encourage your friends and family to take
advantage of this opportunity to support Richmond Audubon Society!
