Add this RAS field trip to you June calendar. Cumberland Marsh Preserve (Nature Conservancy). Meet Margaret Ebbs at 7:30 a.m. on Sunday, June 6 to scan the Pamunkey River for waders and shorebirds from the observation deck. Then walk the trail around the lake. Possible species are herons, hawks, orioles, ovenbirds, towhees, tanagers, turkeys, vireos, waxwings, and a warbler or two. From Richmond, go east on I 64 to exit 205/ SR 249. Turn left on SR 249 (east), drive through New Kent and watch for SR 637. (Small sign for Cumberland Hospital) Turn left onto 637 (Cumberland Rd) and go about 2 miles.
