Nests with eggs can be present through the end of July, but they are
pretty much done by then.  Young in the nest into early Augusts; there
is even a record of one-young 8-10 days old from Fisherman's Island, 5
Sep. 1982. Should be pretty safe by mid August I think.  RBC

According to Virginia's Birdlife the birds have 8-10 day old chicks,
May1 - July 6, but you would probably have to get a copy of the Breeding
Bird Atlas for Virginia to get more detailed information.
