I couldn't get out of the house this morning, but visited the marsh at Dutch
Gap and birded all along the road this afternoon. Highlights:
Blue Winged Teal (2)
Blue Gray Gnatcatchers (nest-building and singing)
Savannah Sparrows (3+)
Adult Bald Eagles (2)
Osprey (2)
American Coots (4)
Pied-billed Grebe (1)
Ruby-crowned Kinglets
Tree Swallows
Wood ducks (one had two babies!)
Barred Owl (calling in the distance, not seen)
Great Blue Herons (in the nest with a begging chick)
Rachel Echols
