I am remembering an article from several years ago in the Richmond Times Dispatch about turkey vultures congregating in a southwest VA town. They were considered a nuisance to the residents, but the residents were restricted from doing anything to get rid of the vultures b/c of some archaic state law against killing or trapping certain bird species, vultures being included in that. Don't remember the premise for the law, but I do remember the article stating that it was an old one that didn't seem to apply anymore. Does anyone else remember the article? Does anyone know anything about that law? Must have been amended in Gen. Assembly if a state dept. is now going after vultures in parks.
