Good advice, and there is a bed and breakfast at Ash Canyon that is bird friendly and pretty reasonable-the owner is a former Richmonder. She has several hummingbird feeders on the property and you are invited to sit on her patio and watch the show. If you can get Mark Pretty on his day off from his job as Naturalist at Ramsey Canyon it is worth the price of the tour. He has a website. San Pedro River Important Bird Area is a great place, too. When we were there in the spring Vermillion Flycatchers were trash brides.
